Phase 1 was launched in May 1992 and is situated in the serene and picturesque loop of Soan River close to Grand Trunk (GT), following the asymmetrical terrain of the Potohar. Phase 1 is spread over an area of approximately 11000 Kanal providing over 3100 Residential plots. This phase has been divided into six sectors and is fully developed with all amenities, taking care of your principal as well as your leisure needs. Construction activity is in full swing, 1028 families have occupied the houses while 315 houses are under construction.
Avicenna Medical Center
Avicenna (MI room) located in Defence park near Jungle Restaurant was inaugurated on 13th March, 07. Emergency Surgical and Medical First Aid is provided round the clock to employees and local residents. Medical equipment, furniture and emergency medicines are available on spot. Ambulance facility is available for residents round the clock.
Activities of Avicenna Medical Center:

DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi provides its residents with 24-hour security. Security personnel conduct mobile patrolling during the night. Security personnel are equipped with wireless communication and weapons.
DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi achieved another milestone by successfully implementing underground electricity supply system in Phase I in May 2009. 95% connections are now on UG System.
Defence park with 130 feet shooter and 65 feet high water fall is unique not only in the country but first ever in the twin cities of Islamabad. Defence Mall has been constructed on Defence Avenue housing DHAI Main Office Teleman office, Customer Support Center, Askari Bank a beauty parlour, an italian restaurant and a number of stores offering consumer utilities on the ground floor.
Customer dealing departments such as Finance Dte, Town Planning & Building Control Dte, Projects Dte, Marketing Dte, Administration Dte are on the first floor whereas other departments such as IT&T Dte, HR Dte, Legal Dte, Land Dte, Security Dte, Chief Engineering Branch and Cafetaria are in the basement. Transfer & Record Dte has been moved to an independent location in Sector C besides Jungle Restaurant. It is dealing only with opening of file, amount depositing and all legal procedural matters regarding transfer of plot.
Customer Support Centers are working from 8:30am - 4:30pm. The Customer Support Center on ground floor of Defence Mall is dealing with all matters for JV projects such as DHA Villas, Business Bay, Sector-F, DHA Valley, DHA Homes and Commercial Avenue.
Call Information & Support Center(CISC) is providing services from 8:30am - 4:30pm. Major function of this section is to provide information with full accuracy, support and ultimate satisfaction to our valued customers in Pakistan and abroad. We are facilitating by giving information through telephone, Fax, email and mail.
The first exceptional co-opted housing project was launched in May 2008 under a unique development plan. The residents of Defence Villas will have an exclusive access to fully developed State-of-the-Art amenities. The villas are being constructed on rafts by leading construction companies like MIDJAC, HARO & AREAA with high quality infrastructure from Habib Rafiq Limited (HRL). Over 900 villas are coming up and model house is ready for inspection.
DHA Phase I Sector F was launched in fully developed picturesque area surrounded by captivating hills on 20th May 2008 along the calm flow of River Soan. A digital telephone exchange has been established and telephone connections are being provided to the residents of Phase I, various cellular and wireless data service providers are also operating. PTCL Exchange was established initially for 550 lines, but now Exchange capacity has increased to more than 2000 lines with underground external network of 3000 lines. Service is now readily available for every resident.
Residents are provided with clean drinking water through water filtration plants established in Sector D and E.
Jogging tracks and crazy street have been provided to all the residents.
DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi has its own fire brigade efficient enough to protect the DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi-Rawalpindi community against injury, loss of life and destruction of property. The fire fighting vehicles have the capacity of 12000 litre water and 1000 litre foam. In addition a fleet of water bowzers with capacity 100,000 lits is also available to counter any untoward fire incident. Fire fighting teams respond quickly and work as a highly organized team.
An effective ambulance service is available with a dedicated vehicle for residents round the clock.
Cable TV and Data services have been started while preparation for provision of voice services are in progress. Currently, Analog TV Cable with 100 Channels is functional in Ph-I. Installation Charges for TV Cable are Rs4500 while per month charges are Rs450 with 3 TVs at one home. Rs100 will be charge for per TV if home has more than 3 TVs.
