  Phase 1
Phase 1 was launched in May 1992 and is situated in the serene and picturesque loop of Soan River close to Grand Trunk (GT), following the asymmetrical terrain of the potohar. Phase 1 is spread over an area of 11101 kanals which is divided in 3107 Residential plots of one kanal each. This phase has been divided into six sectors. This phase is fully developed with all amenities, taking care of your principal as well as your leisure needs. Plots of standard size ( i.e. 50*90 and 45 * 100) are allotted to members. Construction activity is in full swing, 707 families have occupied the houses while 206 houses are under construction.

       Underground Electrification
DHA Islamabad has achieved another milestone by successfully implementing underground electricity supply system in Sector-A, Phase I.

An inauguration ceremony was held in Sector-A in presence of Administrator DHA Islamabad as chief guest.

       Neat and Clean Environment & Perimeter Fence
DHAI gives you a very neat and clean environment in which you can live comfortably.

Perimeter fence has been made all along the boundary along the bank of River Soan for better security and to keep the encroachers at bay.
       Defence Park
Defence park with 130 feet shooter and 65 feet high water fall, unique not only in the country but first ever in the twin cities of Islamabad-Rawalpindi. It also features a unique restaurant facility, the jungle restaurant, which provide both indoor and outdoor service to our members offering Continental, Oriental and Local Cosine.
       Defence Mall
Defence Mall has been constructed on Defence Avenue with 'DHAI TELEMAN' office, Customer Support Center, Askari Bank Branch a Beauty Parlour and Italian Restaurant and a number of Stores offering consumer utilities on the Ground Floor.

Customer Dealing departments such as Finance Dte, Town Planning & Building Control Dte, Projects Dte, Marketing Dte, Administration Dte are on the first floor whereas other departments such as IT&T Dte, HR Dte, Legal Dte, Land Dte, Security Dte, Chief Engineering Branch and Cafetaria are in the basement. Transfer & Record Dte has been moved to an independent position in Sector C besides Jungle Restaurant.

Customer Support Centers are working from 8:30am - 4:00pm. The Customer Support Center on ground floor of Defence Mall is dealing with all matters such as for JV projects (DHA Villas, Sector-F, DHA Valley, DHA Valley Overseas Block, Business Bay, DHA Homes) whereas Transfer & Record Dte (near Jungle Restaurant) is dealing only with for opening of file, amount depositing and legal matters regarding transfer of plot.

Call Information & Support Center(CISC) is providing services from 8:30am - 4:00pm. Major functions of this section is to provide information with full accuracy, support and ultimate satisfaction to our valued customers in Pakistan and Overseas Pakistanis. We are facilitating by giving information through telephone, Fax, email and mail.

       General Utility Shops
General Utility Shops has been arranged to cater for daily utility items for the residents under water tanks in Sector D and E.
A Jamia Mosque for 1000 persons and a sector mosque for 300 persons have been constructed.

       Telephone Exchange

A digital telephone exchange has been established and telephone connections are being provided to the residents of Phase I, various cellular and wireless data service providers are also operating. Wireless and Cable TV service have already been provided and work is in progress for underground broadband services. PTCL Exchange was established initially for 550 lines, but now Exchange capacity has increased to more than 2000 lines with underground external network of 3000 lines. Service is now readily available for every resident.

       Broadband Communication Services

DHA Islamabad has established its own telecom company namely "DHA Teleman" to establish a state of art broadband network. Cable TV and Data services have been started while preparation for provision of voice services are in progress. Currently, Analog TV Cable with 100 Channels is functional in Ph-I. Installation Charges for TV Cable are Rs3500 while per month charges are Rs300 with 3 TVs at one home. Rs100 will be charge for per TV if home has more than 3 TVs.

       Water Purification Plant
Residents are provided with clean drinking water through water filtration plant established in Phase-I. In case of any shortage free water bowzer is provided.
       Jogging track and Crazy streets
Beautiful Jogging tracks and crazy street have been provided to all the residents.
DHA Islamabad provides its residents with 24-hour security. Security personnel conduct mobile patrolling during the night. All security personnel are equipped with efficient wireless communication.
       Fire fighting
DHA Islamabad has its own fire brigade efficient enough to protect the DHA Islamabad community against injury, loss of life and destruction of property. The fire fighting vehicles have the capacity of 12000 liter water and 1000 liter foam. In addition a fleet of water bowzers with capacity 100,000 lits is also available to counter any untoward fire incident. Fire fighting teams respond quickly and work as a highly organized team.
       Ambulance & Free transport for labours
A latest model ambulance vehicle is available for residents round the clock.
       Garbage Collection
Residents have been provided with a garbage collection basket and polythene bags which are collected by DHA Islamabad garbage vehicle on daily basis.
